If you’ve been reading through this website, you’re probably convinced that it’s time you participated in a good colon cleansing system. Unfortunately, not all colon cleansers are created equal! You must be careful about what you put into your body. Some cleansers will harm more than they will help, while others are a big waste of money that doesn’t make a difference at all.

One of the biggest things to be on the lookout for are colon cleansers, which offer a free trial. Often times they will offer you a free trial just for the cost of shipping and handling. The paperwork and documentation they offer is long and drawn out, so most people do not sit there and read through everything. If you were to read through the paperwork offered, you’d see that by signing up and giving them your credit card number, you only have 14 days from the day of your order (not even from when you receive your free trial) to get off of their automatic shipment list. After the 14 day trial is up, you will be sent the full size, which will run you anywhere from $80 to $160. Unless you call in and sometimes send back the free trial or the empty container that held the trial amount, you will not be able to opt out of the automatic shipment program.

Sometimes, by signing up with one of these colon cleansing trials, you are also signing up for other weight loss trials and will end up with your name on several lists. People typically do not realize their blunder until they get their credit card statement in the mail.

A tip if you are trying to opt out of a list for one of these trials is to make sure you ask a lot of questions when you speak to the customer service representative. Sometimes they will tell you some of the information, but not enough of the information to really get you off the automatic shipment list. For example, I tried one trial where I was told I needed to send back the empty trial bottle in order to opt out of the list. When I asked them for the address to send the trial bottle to, it was completely different than any address that had been included in the paperwork or with my shipment. I was still unable to get a refund for the $80-something that I had been charged.

Your best bet is to speak to a health care store representative who knows about the product(s) they are selling. Explain to him or her that you are wanting a good quality colon cleanser and ask if they can recommend something. The good news is that you won’t be signing up for any online scams and you can most likely return the product for a refund if it does not work or you have a bad reaction to it. Shop smart and buy locally and you should be okay with your purchase!

Colon cleansing trials are advertised throughout infomercials as well as across the internet. Celebrities like Rachel Ray and Oprah have made them famous. If you’ve been paying attention, you may have heard of mixing a good colon cleansing system with Acai Berry to lose 20 or 30 pounds fast.

Don’t get me wrong, colon cleansing can be an important and beneficial part of your annual health program. In fact, some experts suggest cleansing your colon every six months or twice a year. There are some colon cleansing systems, which work well and are beneficial, but beware of the scams on the market.

Avoid Ordering Online

The first sign that a colon cleanser might be a scam is the offer of a trial at an incredibly low price. This is often times just a way for the scammer to get your credit card number. If you read the fine print, which may take hours, you’d see that you are signing up for an auto-ship program. Some programs break it down so that at first read, it looks like you are only being charged a few bucks, but as you read on (if you pay attention), you see that you are charged five dollars here and twenty dollars here, etc.

Some websites use big names like Rachel Ray to get your attention. They make the claim that their product was featured on the show and that it is endorsed by such celebrities. With big television names like CNN, ABC and CNBC, it must be a valid offer, right? Wrong! Remember, anyone can copy and paste a logo on a website!

Acai Breeze is often featured with the colon cleanse. By handing over your credit card information, you are likely unknowingly signing up to receive a shipment every 30 days at a charge of around $80 or more. Such websites make ridiculous claims like that the product is “risk free” and that “quantities are limited”. At the bottom of one site, it says that the customer only pays a small handling fee to receive his or her trail offer, but when you click on the terms and conditions page, it’s a whole different story.

If you think the trial offer sounds legitimate enough, check out what it says from their terms and conditions regarding Acai Breeze:

“Try Acai Berry Breeze Risk Free! When you order the Trial of Acai Berry Breeze your credit card will be charged $4.95 for shipping and handling of a 1 Month Supply of Acai Berry Breeze. You will have 14 days from your original purchase date to decide if Acai Berry Breeze is right for you. If you are enjoying Acai Berry Breeze do nothing and at the end of your 14 day trial period you will be charged the low rate of only $83.95 for the bottle you received. If you find Acai Berry Breeze is not right for you, simply cancel within 14 days of your original purchase date and return the unused portion within 30 days of original order date and you will not be charged.

Approximately 30 days from your original purchase date and every 30 days thereafter you will be sent another fresh 1 month supply of Acai Berry Breeze and your credit card on file will be billed the Member’s Only price of $83.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling for a total of $88.90. That’s 28% off the regular price for a 1 month supply of Acai Berry Breeze. You may cancel your membership at any time by simply contacting customer service. Please remember, most customers see most noticeable results by using Acai Berry Breeze consistently for 3 months. “

If you’ll note that though the trail is only $4.95, in 14 days your credit card will be charged for a 1-month supply of Acai Breeze of $83.95. You only have 14 days from the original purchase, which means you may have only had the product for a week before your 14 days is up! If you don’t cancel, you’ll receive another bottle in 30 days. Consider this scenario:

You order Acai Breeze and the “trial” takes approximately 7 days to arrive in your mailbox. 7 days later, you realize you’ve been scammed and you want to cancel. You call the manufacturer who explains that you must send the empty bottle back. You don’t get the correct address and so you send the bottle to an address listed on the bottle. Your trial is never cancelled. On day 14, another full-sized bottle is shipped out and you are charged $83.95. By the time you receive the second shipment, it is too late for you to cancel. 30 days later you receive another bottle for another $83.95. When you call to cancel, they will cancel all future shipments for you, but they will refuse to refund your money for what you have already received. You have, in essence, been scammed for nearly $200.00 before you realize it!

Buyer beware when it comes to Acai Berry and colon cleansing trials!
